pho.0 intervenes in perceptual structures by constructing a non-organic digital neural field that simulates retinal over-discharge. It aims to guide consciousness through a process of physiological transcendence and a systematic reorganization of hallucinations.
pho.0 is an experimental audiovisual praxis synthesized through real-time generative systems and physiological feedback loops. By modulating human perceptual architectures, the performance seeks to disrupt and reconfigure the participant’s phantasmagoric topographies. Transcending linear narrative, the project interrogates the ontological state of consciousness under conditions of cognitive saturation and structural collapse, manifesting through the curated physiological environments of the “Visual Pit” and “Signal Bruising”.
The work articulates a “non-natural, non-industrial, and non-organic” aesthetic—a third-category materiality that bypasses traditional digital rendering. Instead, it approximates endogenous entoptic phenomena and neural phosphenes triggered by photic over-stimulation, culminating in a self-exciting digital neural field rooted in biological instinct.
